Earned Value Management Curve

The core element: the EVM curve (Earned Value Management) visualizes performance, cost and project progress in a clear chart.
It shows planned value (PV), actual cost (AC) and earned value (EV) side by side, complemented by forecast (FC) and variances. Budget and schedule deviations become visible immediately.

It also includes the planned project end, the calculated TAC project end and the status date.

The curve supports early identification of risks, controlling actions and precise project control, enabling project managers to make sound decisions based on current KPIs.

In addition, freely definable markers with individual text and date can be displayed to identify project-specific events or milestones. A P50 risk curve based on probabilistic simulations can also be integrated to provide a realistic expectation of project development under uncertainty.

The progress curve and cost curve provide a clear graphical view of project progress and cost development across the full duration.
The progress curve visualizes time-based performance progress – plan, actual and forecast in direct comparison. Deviations between planned and achieved progress can be identified at a glance.

The cost curve complements this with detailed cost development, including status date, planned end and actual end, making cost and schedule deviations transparent and traceable.

Operational cost controlling – fully integrated into SK-EVM

While SK-EVM handles strategic project control, the SK-Cost Manager ensures operational cost transparency down to individual purchase order and monthly level.

Purchase orders, commitments and automatic monthly forecast, contingency and allowance distributions are controlled in a structured way and processed consistently.

Internal and external budget and cost reallocations (additions and reductions) can be mapped traceably, including log history. Actual costs are integrated and transferred directly into EVM KPIs, KPI structures and management reports.

The system can be used independently of a specific project. Main construction groups, WBS elements and cost structures can be freely defined and flexibly adapted to project-specific requirements.
